It has been a very interesting week. I have really had to push and motivate myself this week due to feeling flat and depleted. I believe this is due to not resting on the previous Sunday and spending 4 hours going down slopes on a pair of skis.

I have also upped my cardio by an extra 120 minutes this week. This was split up over the week into 3 different routines. I did an extra long cycle on Wednesday. A fantastic sunset powerwalk one evening and then a 6-mile walk on Sunday.
 
This extra low steady state intensity cardio will carry on now for the rest of the journey.

Week 8 has however ended amazingly. I got took away for the day on Saturday to Phillip Island (Melbourne) which was so refreshing mentally. Exactly what I needed.
 
This week I weighed in at 75.7kg, down from 76.2kg last week. My aim for the end of next week will definitely get under 75kg.
 
My resistance workouts change for the last time starting on Monday. It will involve heavy weights, tri-sets and lots of sets. Looking forward to the mix and home straight.
 
Since having more time on my hands now, since I am not working I have been making my meals as interesting as possible. One little delight I have created for my last meal, which is 32g of casein powder, is to mix it with some low kcal jelly. It might not look amazing but when you are dieting, it is the best treat you could ask for. Another delight I have started to include in my day is sliced up cucumber with a sprinkle of cinnamon and Splenda on top of them.

All in all week 8 is over and the weeks till the competition are within reach. Time to work just has hard, keep determined, motivated and hungry to bring the best possible condition I can.
